GAF is an international NGO promoting the equitable effective interaction and cooperation among scientists/academics, technicians, fisheries officers and non-governmental organization. To world experts involved in issues related to gender in fisheries and aquaculture it offers platform for networking, a high profile conference and symposium.

Community and Biodiversity (COBI in Spanish) is a Mexican civil society organization founded in 1999 with the goal of saving marine ecosystems that are deteriorating due to unsustainable exploitation of natural resources. COBI is very much active in promoting gender equality in the decision-making process for marine conservation and fishery management.

The International Collective in Support of Fishworkers (ICSF) is an international non-governmental organization that works towards the establishment of equitable, gender-just, self-reliant and sustainable fisheries, particularly in the small-scale, artisanal sector. ICSF support the recognition of the role of women in fisheries and fishing communities though its periodical publication YEMAYA.

AWFISHNET is a recently established (2017) continental network of women fish workers from 28 nations across the African continent. It is a platform that seeks to strengthen women fish workers’ position. The network exists as a coordinating body for all its members involved in fish processing and trade in Africa.
